Jamie Mason est un auteur canadien reconnu pour ses œuvres de science-fiction et de fantasy sombres, souvent agrémentées de thèmes absurdistes et d'une vision fataliste du monde. Les nouvelles de Mason ont été publiées dans divers magazines réputés, tels que On Spec, Abyss & Apex, et la Revue canadienne de science-fiction. En 2011, Drollerie Press a publié son roman de science-fiction pour jeunes adultes, ECHO, qui a été salué par la critique.
Jamie Mason est membre actif de PEN Canada et signataire du Manifeste Leap. Il réside actuellement sur l'île de Vancouver, où il puise son inspiration dans la beauté et la disparition de la nature sauvage canadienne. Outre l'écriture, Mason a eu un parcours professionnel diversifié, ayant été analyste dans un think-tank, gestionnaire d'entreprise, musicien professionnel et détective privé. Ces expériences variées lui ont permis de donner une perspective et une profondeur uniques à ses mondes fictifs.
Né à Montréal, Mason a poursuivi ses études à l'Université d'Arizona et à l'Université Chapman. Après une décennie d'enseignement dans le sud-ouest des États-Unis, il est retourné au Canada en 2005. Actuellement semi-retraité, il consacre son temps à l'écriture, à la nature et à la contemplation des paysages enchanteurs de l'île de Vancouver. Les œuvres de Mason reflètent sa profonde appréciation du genre de la fiction spéculative et son engagement à offrir des récits stimulants.
